The game replaced a canceled matchup against Brown University following a fatal shooting on campus. USC, now 12-1, was led by Gabe Dynes with 16 points, while Ezra Ausar and Jacob Cofie each scored 15 and 14. The Trojans shot 56.3% from the field and scored over 90 points for the sixth time this season. UC Santa Cruz, playing its only Division I opponent of the year, made 13 three-pointers but shot just 40.7% overall. The game marked the debut of transfer Kam Woods.
