South Korean President Lee Jae Myung is moving the presidential office back to the historic Blue House in Seoul by late December 2025, reversing a 2022 shift to former defense ministry buildings under his predecessor, Yoon Suk Yeol.
The move, expected to be completed by Christmas, follows ongoing inspections of the Blue House complex, which suffered damage during Yoon’s administration.
The presidential residence will remain in Hannam-dong for now due to security preparations.
