Rithika S K, a student at KCG College of Technology in Bangalore, won the 9th IET India Scholarship Award for her solar-powered healthcare kiosk, HEKIO, designed to improve medical access in remote areas.
Selected from over 43,000 applicants, she received a ₹3 lakh scholarship and IET membership.
Vansika Jhawar and Khushi Malhotra were first and second runner-ups, with ₹10 lakhs in total prizes awarded.
All five national finalists were women, marking the first time in the program’s history.
The scholarship, launched in 2013, has recognized nearly 25 national winners who now lead in tech and innovation.
The next application round opens in April 2026.
