As of November 2025, India’s Government e-Marketplace (GeM) has enabled over 11.25 lakh micro and small enterprises (MSEs) to secure government orders worth Rs 7.44 lakh crore, accounting for 44.8% of total order value—surpassing the 25% procurement target. The platform has expanded access for women-led, SC/ST-owned, and rural businesses through inclusive features like targeted filters, relaxed eligibility criteria, and initiatives such as Womaniya. Recent contracts span renewable energy, surveillance, and digital services, supporting national goals like Digital India and Atmanirbhar Bharat.
