India's Bombay High Court rejected a plea for a CBI probe into Lavasa project permits, citing lack of legal basis.
The Bombay High Court has dismissed a public interest litigation seeking a CBI probe into alleged illegal permissions for the Lavasa hill station project in Pune, involving NCP leaders Sharad Pawar, Supriya Sule, and Ajit Pawar.
The court ruled that petitioner Nanasaheb Jadhav failed to show a legal basis for directing police to register a First Information Report while exercising civil jurisdiction.
The decision, based on procedural grounds, does not evaluate the validity of the allegations, which include claims of undue influence and inaction by Pune police after a 2018 complaint.
Sharad Pawar had previously argued the claims were repetitive.
El Tribunal Superior de Bombay de la India rechazó una petición de una investigación de la CBI sobre los permisos del proyecto Lavasa, alegando falta de base legal.
