The Indian Navy commissioned INS Anjadip, the third of eight indigenously built Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Crafts, on December 22, 2025, at the Chennai Port Trust.
Built by Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers (GRSE), the 77-meter vessel features nearly 88% indigenous content, waterjet propulsion, and advanced systems including lightweight torpedoes, anti-submarine rockets, and sonar for coastal surveillance.
It enhances India’s anti-submarine capabilities and marks a milestone in domestic defense manufacturing under the 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat' initiative.
The delivery follows four other warships by GRSE in 2025, highlighting growing shipbuilding capacity and inter-service collaboration.
