Bristell's B23-916iS, with a 160-hp turbocharged engine, earned EASA CS-23 certification Dec. 17, 2025, for glider towing and high-altitude flight.
Bristell has received EASA CS-23 certification for the B23-916iS, the first aircraft to pair a 160-horsepower turbocharged Rotax 916iS engine with a certified CS-23 airframe, approved December 17, 2025.
Designed for glider towing, high-altitude, and hot-and-high operations, the variant features a 750 kg maximum takeoff weight, 130 cm cabin width, and 280 kg useful load.
It offers a 2,000-hour engine overhaul interval, flight capability up to flight level 180, and a 153-meter takeoff roll.
The aircraft, already FAA and EASA certified, is available for order with deliveries beginning, expanding Bristell’s lineup from 100 to 160 horsepower engines, including IFR-capable options.
