A 13-year-old boy from Oxfordshire, Ivan Advokhin, joined Queen Camilla in decorating the royal Christmas tree at Clarence House on December 11 as part of an annual event hosted by Helen & Douglas House, the UK’s first children’s hospice.
The tradition, begun in 2007 when Queen Camilla became patron, brought five children and their families for a festive day featuring Father Christmas, a musical performance, reindeer, and personalized gifts.
The hospice supports children with life-shortening conditions and their families across Oxfordshire, providing medical, emotional, and practical care, especially during the holidays.
Donations to the Christmas Appeal are encouraged to sustain the service.
