South Korea’s auto exports rose 13.7% in November 2025 to $6.4 billion, led by a 40% surge in hybrid vehicle shipments and a 23.4% increase in eco-friendly cars, marking 11 consecutive months of growth.
Exports to the U.S. climbed 5.1% to $2.69 billion after a new tariff deal cut auto duties from 25% to 15%, ending eight months of declines.
Shipments to Asia jumped 32.1% to $730 million, while EU exports rose 3.4% to $820 million.
Overall exports hit a record $61.04 billion, driven by strong semiconductor demand, resulting in a $9.73 billion trade surplus and setting a new annual export record of $640.2 billion through November.
