A nationwide recall has been issued for Mamisan Pain Relieving Topical Ointment sold at Walmart and Target from April 2024 through October 2025 due to its non-child-resistant packaging. The product, containing lidocaine, poses a serious risk if swallowed by children. Only jars with UPC 860006498115—bright orange with a white twist-off lid—are affected. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission is overseeing the recall, and consumers are urged to contact Plantimex for a free replacement lid. The recall affects about 50,000 units.
