The Philippines launched three new economic zones to boost investment, jobs, and high-tech industries.
The Philippine government has established three new special economic zones in Parañaque, Laguna, and Misamis Oriental, approved by President Marcos and signed by Executive Secretary Ralph Recto on December 16.
The zones—Aseana City IT Center, Alloco Development Corp. Industrial Estate, and Filinvest Innovation Park—aim to attract over P3 billion in investments and create around 7,200 jobs.
They offer tax incentives and other benefits under the Special Economic Zone Act of 1995, targeting digital innovation, agro-industry, and high-tech manufacturing.
Located in areas with strong infrastructure and access to skilled labor, the zones are designed to support future-ready industries and expand employment nationwide.
