Pegasus Airlines to buy 300 LEAP-1B engines for 100 Boeing 737-10 planes, boosting fuel efficiency and cutting emissions.
Turkish airline Pegasus Airlines has agreed to purchase up to 300 CFM LEAP-1B engines for its Boeing 737-10 fleet, including spares and maintenance, marking a strategic shift from its prior move toward an all-Airbus fleet.
The deal, announced in December 2024, supports Pegasus’s 2030 carbon reduction target and the aviation industry’s 2050 net-zero goal, with the LEAP-1B offering 15% better fuel efficiency and 15% lower emissions than older engines.
The 100 aircraft order, with 100 options, is set to enter service in 2028.
