The EFCC has sought a 14-day remand for Malami and associate Temitope Isaac Adebayo, citing a prima facie case, while Malami remains in custody after failing to meet bail conditions. The probe follows raids on his homes and offices, and allegations of unexplained wealth, including high-value properties across Nigeria. His supporters, including youths in Kebbi, protest the detention as politically motivated, especially after his defection to the African Democratic Congress and pursuit of a gubernatorial bid.
