Iran executed 27-year-old architecture student Aghil Keshavarz on December 20, 2025, after convicting him of spying for Israel’s Mossad, according to Iranian state media.
Authorities said he conducted over 200 missions, including photographing military sites and communicating via encrypted messages, and was arrested in Urmia while filming a headquarters.
His death sentence was upheld by Iran’s Supreme Court.
