The federal government denies Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi's claims of a Rs4.5 trillion funding shortfall, stating KP has received its full NFC Award share since 2010, including Rs46.44 billion transferred on December 17, 2025. It confirms no outstanding liabilities, with Rs5.867 trillion disbursed from the divisible pool, plus additional funds for war on terror, oil and gas revenues, newly merged districts, IDPs, and the Benazir Income Support Programme. The 11th NFC met on December 4, 2025, with a sub-group set to discuss FATA integration on December 23.
