CCTV footage from the Nairobi-Nakuru highway shows former Lugari MP Cyrus Jirongo’s Mercedes stopping briefly at an Eagol Petrol Station just before a fatal head-on crash with a bus on December 13, 2025. The video captures a white Probox with three occupants behaving suspiciously, including a man approaching Jirongo’s car and briefly opening its bonnet without adding fluid. The Probox followed Jirongo’s vehicle onto the highway, where the crash occurred at 2:19:25 a.m. No immediate help arrived, and it took nearly 29 minutes for a crowd to gather. Investigators are now focusing on Park Place in Karen, where Jirongo was last seen, and reviewing the footage amid growing questions about the circumstances of his death.
