U.S. startup Konnect won K-Startup Grand Challenge 2025 for its Korea-focused payment platform, with two others also receiving major funding.
The K-Startup Grand Challenge 2025 concluded on December 11 in Seoul, selecting Konnect, a U.S.-based startup, as the Grand Prize winner for its global authentication and payment platform for foreign residents in Korea.
The event, part of COMEUP 2025, featured eight finalists from a pool of 2,626 applicants across 97 countries.
MaimHaim (USA) and Pierrot Company (Canada) took second and third place, respectively, each receiving significant funding.
All 20 Phase 3 participants, including finalists, will receive three months of support, including office space, business matchmaking, and investor assistance.
Now in its 10th year, the program has supported over 1,000 international startups, reinforcing South Korea’s commitment to global innovation.
