Boise State University has named its new monster truck Smashton Jeanty in a fan-driven contest honoring former standout player Ashton Jeanty, who helped lead the Broncos to a 2024 Mountain West Championship and Fiesta Bowl. The truck will make its debut at the Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live Event at Albertsons Stadium on June 6, 2026—the first time the show has visited Boise. The name and design pay tribute to Jeanty’s legacy, continuing his impact on campus through community events, following a similar naming initiative last year when a snow plow was named in his honor.
