Blue Wave recalls 13,400 pools over drowning risk; no injuries reported.
Blue Wave has recalled about 13,400 above-ground pools due to a drowning hazard, the CPSC says.
The recall covers pools 48 inches or taller, including various round, wicker, and cedar frame models sold from January 2021 to July 2025.
A compression strap around the vertical support poles can create a foothold, allowing children to climb in even without a ladder.
No injuries have been reported.
Owners should stop using the pools immediately, prevent unsupervised access, or drain them.
Free repair kits are available by contacting Blue Wave at (800) 603-0475, emailing recall@bluewaveproducts.com, or visiting the company’s website.
The recall was issued on December 18, 2025.
