Around 400 Certas Energy tanker drivers in the UK are striking over Christmas and into January, disrupting fuel deliveries to forecourts and homes. The Unite union rejected a 2% pay offer, calling it a real-terms pay cut amid 4.3% inflation. Certas claims the offer was above inflation and says it has measures to reduce disruption. The company operates over 85 UK depots, supplies 800 forecourts and domestic heating customers, and serves major clients like Shell and Royal Mail.
