More than 550 rare animal specimens collected by naturalist Gerald Durrell have been donated to National Museums Scotland, including a critically endangered mountain chicken frog and the skin of a zebra duiker.
The donation, made by the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust, enhances the museum’s natural sciences collection and supports scientific research on endangered species.
