The Enforcement Directorate has released ₹311.67 crore to former Kingfisher Airlines employees for unpaid dues, following a December 12, 2025 order from the Chennai Debts Recovery Tribunal.
The funds came from assets recovered under the PMLA, originally restituted to the State Bank of India-led consortium after being seized from Vijay Mallya and Kingfisher Airlines.
The ED, which had recovered over ₹14,132 crore in assets linked to alleged loan fraud, coordinated with SBI to prioritize employee claims.
The move resolves long-standing unpaid wages and benefits for former workers after the airline ceased operations.
