Barton Gold launches airborne gravity survey in South Australia to find gold near the Challenger Mine.
Barton Gold Holdings has launched a high-resolution airborne gravity survey over 3,200 line kilometers in South Australia’s EL 6502, targeting near-mine gold deposits similar to those at the historic Challenger Gold Mine.
Using the FALCON system, flights at 80 meters altitude with 200-meter line spacing aim to improve geological understanding and identify structural targets, especially where surface signals are weak.
The survey supports Barton’s feasibility study for a phased mine restart, leveraging existing infrastructure and its 100% ownership of the area.
The project is part of broader exploration efforts in the under-explored Gawler Craton region.
