Vinita Gupta, a 75-year-old Woodside resident and former tech CEO, has released her memoir detailing her journey from India to becoming the first Indian woman to lead a company to an IPO in the U.S. After earning a master’s in electrical engineering from UCLA at 23, she founded Digital Link Corporation, a Silicon Valley internet networking company, which went public in 1994.
The book shares her experiences overcoming gender and cultural barriers, raising daughters, managing family health issues, and persisting despite early discouragement from a professor.
