Flyers forward Tyson Foerster to miss 5 months after arm surgery following injury on Dec. 1.
Philadelphia Flyers forward Tyson Foerster will miss five months after surgery on his right arm, the team announced.
The injury occurred on December 1 during a game against the Pittsburgh Penguins, shortly after he scored his 10th goal of the season.
Initially expected to be out two to three months, further evaluation led to surgery.
The 23-year-old, in the first year of a two-year, $7.5 million contract, had 10 goals and three assists in 21 games this season.
He is expected to miss the rest of the regular season and any potential playoff games if the Flyers qualify.
