A fire at a Timmins towing shop burned for hours, left accelerants behind, and remains under investigation.
A major fire at D&L Towing’s shop in Timmins, Ontario, was extinguished on December 14 after firefighters used water from a nearby hydrant and drilled through ice on Kraft Creek to supply a drafting station.
The blaze, which broke out at 4 a.m., rapidly spread through the metal building but was under control by 2 p.m. No injuries were reported, and all machinery was outside, allowing temporary operations.
The Ontario fire marshal found no evidence of foul play but noted accelerants were present.
The investigation has been passed to the company’s insurance provider, and the cause remains undetermined.
