Survivors and families of the January 2023 Sea World helicopter crash in Queensland, which killed four and injured nine, have filed personal injury claims against Sea World Helicopters, Village Roadshow, the Civil Aviation Safety Authority, and others. The crash, occurring 25 seconds after takeoff, killed Vanessa Tadros, her son Nicholas—left with a leg amputation—and three others. Claims were filed ahead of Queensland’s January 2026 deadline, with proceedings paused pending a coroner’s inquest examining pilot impairment, radio failures, and aircraft visibility. The inquest is adjourned to February.
