Leadville’s Chase Blackwell advanced to the women’s snowboard halfpipe final at the 2025 Toyota U.S. Grand Prix in Copper Mountain, a key qualifier for the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics.
The event, held on December 17, featured top international athletes, with 35 women competing in two heats to determine the top 10 finalists.
Chloe Kim of the U.S. advanced despite a fall, scoring 90.33 in Heat 1, while South Korea’s Gaon Choi led Heat 2 with a 93.00.
Other U.S. riders to qualify included Bea Kim, Maddy Schaffrick, Maddie Mastro, Kinsley White, Ava Lilly, and Zoe Kalapos.
Men’s qualifiers also took place, with seven athletes from each heat advancing.
The competition continues through December 19.
