On December 12, 2025, two individuals in Buncombe County, North Carolina, were arrested in a coordinated drug operation resulting in the seizure of over 1,000 dosage units of narcotics, including fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, and oxycodone, along with firearms and drug paraphernalia.
Anthony Julian Severino, 50, and Jamie Leigh Paradis, 39, face multiple trafficking and weapons charges, with bonds set at $110,000 and $400,000, respectively.
The bust, led by the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office and federal task forces, removed dangerous drugs from the community and is credited with saving lives.
Meanwhile, in other incidents, a 23-year-old in Troy was arrested for heroin and opium trafficking, a fraud case in Maryland involved counterfeit money orders totaling $7,647, and multiple thefts and assaults were reported across North Carolina counties, including a package theft spree involving juveniles in Craven County.
