ServiceNow acquired Moveworks to add AI-powered, conversational workplace assistance for IT, HR, and customer service.
ServiceNow has completed its acquisition of AI workplace assistant company Moveworks to enhance its platform with a conversational interface for employee requests across IT, HR, and customer service.
The integration combines ServiceNow’s workflow automation and AI governance with Moveworks’ enterprise search, reasoning, and chat technology, creating a unified, AI-driven entry point for end-to-end, autonomous workflows.
The combined platform operates on a single architecture, linking employee prompts to data, AI agents, and processes without manual intervention.
Moveworks’ technology, used by 5.5 million employees at major global companies, will now be scaled through ServiceNow’s ecosystem, with hundreds of Moveworks engineers joining ServiceNow to advance product development.
The deal, which did not disclose financial terms, expands ServiceNow’s AI capabilities, building on its internal use of AI agents that already resolve 90% of IT and 89% of customer support tickets autonomously, cutting resolution times nearly sevenfold.
New joint features are expected to roll out over time.
