A NSW farmer’s son tops state in agricultural studies, earning top HSC score.
Bateson Pittman, a sixth-generation farmer from Walcha, has achieved the top score in New South Wales for Primary Industries in the HSC, excelling at Farrer Memorial Agricultural High School.
Raised on a sheep and cattle farm and working at a Merino stud, he earned a Certificate II in Agriculture and plans to study Agricultural Science at the University of New England.
His success was recognized at a University of NSW ceremony honoring over 130 top students.
The full HSC results for a record 73,000 students were released on December 18 via SMS, email, and online.
