The Jets released WR Allen Lazard, who requested the move after a limited role in 2025.
The New York Jets have released wide receiver Allen Lazard, who requested the move, ending his tenure with the team after three seasons.
Lazard, signed in 2023 as a key addition for Aaron Rodgers, recorded just 10 catches for 70 yards and one touchdown in 10 games during the 2025 season, starting twice.
His role diminished despite reuniting with Rodgers, who suffered a season-ending injury in 2023 and was later released.
Lazard, who had a career-high 60 catches in 2022 with Green Bay, saw reduced playing time under new offensive schemes and was overshadowed by younger receivers.
The Jets also released quarterback Adrian Martinez and signed linebacker Ochaun Mathis to the practice squad.
If claimed off waivers, the acquiring team would assume the final three weeks of Lazard’s $1.75 million 2025 base salary, totaling $291,667.
