Prime Minister Narendra Modi received Ethiopia’s highest civilian honor, the Great Honor Nishan, during a two-day visit to Addis Ababa, recognizing his leadership of the Global South and India’s development support. India and Ethiopia upgraded ties to a strategic partnership, agreeing to expand cooperation in health, agriculture, digital technology, and AI, and to double scholarships for Ethiopian students.
