Street preacher Kwabena Ofosu in Nkawkaw, Ghana, has been granted GH¢50,000 bail with two sureties after facing charges related to a public disturbance involving the Kwahu West Municipal Chief Executive.
The incident stemmed from a dispute over loudspeakers during a preaching session, prompting a heated exchange and allegations of verbal abuse.
Ofosu, known for using high-decibel sound systems in busy areas, was arrested and detained before appearing in court.
Judge Jehosaphat Akyere granted bail with a requirement to report weekly to police every Wednesday.
The next hearing is set for 5 February 2026.
