Canadian films and creatives have earned multiple spots on the 2026 Oscars shortlists. Trevor Morris’s short film "Butterfly on a Wheel" is shortlisted for best live-action short, while Montreal’s Chris Lavis and Maciek Szczerbowski received a nod for their animated short "The Girl Who Cried Pearls."
