An 18-year-old man was arrested in Perth for wearing a Nazi symbol near a mosque, facing charges under Operation Dalewood.
An 18-year-old man from Huntingdale was arrested in Gosnells, Perth, on Tuesday morning for allegedly wearing a black face covering and a necklace with a Nazi symbol near Masjid Al-Rahman Mosque.
He faces charges of displaying a Nazi symbol and failing to obey police orders.
The arrest is part of WA Police’s Operation Dalewood, launched after the Bondi Beach attack to increase security at places of worship and community sites.
The incident follows a similar mosque vandalism in October, though authorities have not linked the events.
The man is due in court in January.
