A woman drove into train tracks at Brisbane’s Wooloowin station, causing major delays and requiring emergency response.
A car crash at Wooloowin station in Brisbane on Tuesday afternoon, around 1:40 pm, caused major train disruptions as a woman drove through a fence onto tracks near Hudson Road and Lisson Grove.
She was the only occupant and is in stable condition at Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
Services on the Airport, Doomben, and Shorncliffe lines were suspended between Eagle Junction and Domestic Airport, Doomben, and Northgate, leading to delays of up to an hour.
Rail replacement buses were arranged between key stations.
Earlier suspensions on the Caboolture, Redcliffe Peninsula, and Sunshine Coast lines have been lifted, with up to 15 minutes of delays expected.
Emergency crews secured the site and began repairs.
