The Small Business Administration has launched a Deregulation Strike Force to review and eliminate federal regulations it says increase costs for small businesses and families. Led by the Office of Advocacy, the initiative targets Biden-era rules in sectors like housing, agriculture, and energy, claiming they added $6 trillion in compliance costs. The effort, part of President Trump’s affordability agenda, aims to reduce regulatory burdens, streamline policies, and support economic growth. The SBA says it has already eliminated $98.9 billion in regulations since January 2025 and plans to gather input from small businesses to prioritize changes.
