Jammu and Kashmir’s Counter Intelligence wing conducted pre-dawn raids across seven districts targeting suspects linked to terrorism, radicalization, and online glorification of militants. The operations followed an ongoing encounter between security forces and terrorists in Udhampur and are tied to the April 22 Pahalgam attack that killed 26 people. The NIA filed a 1,597-page chargesheet naming Pakistani handler Sajid Jatt, Lashkar-e-Taiba, its proxy The Resistance Front, and three Pakistani terrorists killed in July. Two Indian nationals were also charged for harboring terrorists. The accused face multiple charges under India’s anti-terrorism laws.
