Sisters Bridie and Chloe Farrell, members of the Dhanggati tribe and students at The Armidale School, will perform with the Moorambilla Voices senior ensemble at the Sydney Opera House on December 21.
The 40-member group, drawn from communities across north-west and western NSW, will sing on the Monumental Steps at dusk, backed by the Harbour Bridge and Circular Quay.
The performance, part of the Choir on the Steps series, includes a 20- to 30-minute set and a collaborative finale, followed by an album recording featuring new works by Australian composers.
Bridie, a Year 12 student, has performed at the Opera House before, while Chloe, entering Year 9, is making her debut.
