Polo, launching in April 2026, is the first heritage Polo model to go electric, built on the MEB+ platform with two battery options: a 37kWh LFP pack offering up to 186 miles of range and a 52kWh NMC pack with up to 280 miles.
It supports fast charging up to 130kW, reaching 10–80% in as little as 23 minutes.
The prototype delivers strong handling, precise braking, and a refined ride despite some wind noise.
Priced under €25,000 ($29,000), it targets the affordable EV segment, competing with models like the Renault 5 E-Tech.
A GTI variant is expected in 2027.
The car will not be available in the U.S.
