Van Elle is selling its Canadian unit to Remcan-backed firm for $4.7M, ending losses after project withdrawal.
Van Elle is selling its Canadian subsidiary, Van Elle Canada Inc., to a special-purpose vehicle backed by Canadian rail contractor Remcan Projects LP, with the deal expected to close around December 17, 2025.
The sale, valued at approximately CAD $4.7 million (£2.6 million), includes an initial cash payment and deferred consideration, following years of losses despite revenue growth.
The exit comes after challenges in a major Ontario rail project, which led to Van Elle’s withdrawal in July 2025.
Under the agreement, Van Elle will continue providing technical support via a consultancy, while the new owner gains access to existing frameworks and local resources to pursue opportunities in Canada.
