UK firm CPC buys Beetaloo Station for $300M, largest NT pastoral deal, gaining 90K cattle and water rights.
Consolidated Pastoral Company (CPC), a UK-owned firm, has acquired Beetaloo Station, a 1.05-million-hectare cattle property in the Northern Territory, in a deal valued at over $300 million—the largest pastoral sale in the territory’s history.
The acquisition, finalized on December 9, 2025, includes approximately 90,000 cattle and three stations: Beetaloo, OT Downs, and Mungabroom.
The property, developed over two decades by the Dunnicliff family with support from billionaire Brett Blundy, features extensive infrastructure including over 600 water points and 3,000km of pipeline.
The purchase expands CPC’s Australian landholdings to over 3.2 million hectares and its cattle herd to around 300,000 head.
CPC, majority-owned by UK investor Guy Hands, has also applied for water extraction licenses to withdraw over 15,000 megalitres annually for agriculture.
The site, near Elliott and the Stuart Highway, is known for beef production and underlying shale gas reserves.
La firma británica CPC compra la estación de Beetaloo por $ 300M, el mayor acuerdo pastoral de NT, obteniendo 90K derechos de ganado y agua.
