Tripura’s TSECL won a national energy conservation award for the second year, praised for efficiency and governance.
Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited (TSECL) won the Energy Conservation Award at a national ceremony in New Delhi on December 14, 2025, marking its second straight year receiving the honor.
The award, presented by President Droupadi Murmu on National Energy Conservation Day, recognized TSECL’s second-place finish in Group 5 of the State Energy Efficiency Index 2025, following a first-place win in Group 4 the prior year.
The evaluation, led by the Ministry of Power, assessed 36 states and union territories across seven sectors using 66 indicators.
Officials praised TSECL’s strategic planning, transparent governance, and public cooperation, calling the achievement a milestone for Tripura and a model for India’s energy efficiency efforts.
