Over 50 grandmothers in Mumbai defied age stereotypes by running 2.5K to 10K distances at the Zydus Pinkathon’s Grandmothers’ Run, held in Chembur.
The event, part of a nationwide movement promoting inclusive fitness since 2012, showcased active ageing with participants ranging from 68 to 82 years old.
Organized by founder Milind Soman, it highlighted the power of peer inspiration and challenged societal norms linking old age with inactivity.
The run supports broader health initiatives, including breast cancer awareness, ahead of the upcoming Pinkathon Mumbai on December 20–21.
