Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav performed a Bhoomi Pujan for the expansion of Maharaja Yashwant Rao Hospital in Indore, launching a Rs 773.07 crore project to build a 1,450-bed hospital with specialized wards, a nursing hostel, auditorium, solar energy, and sewage treatment.
The expansion aims to improve healthcare access across Madhya Pradesh and neighboring states.
Yadav also announced broader urban development plans, including an elevated corridor, zonal master plan, start-up park, convention center, and expansion of the Indore Metropolitan area to six districts, with a focus on making the city slum-free and a major trade hub.
Free bone and kidney transplant services are available at the hospital.
