Jaguar Mining finishes remediation at Brazilian site, seeks approval to resume operations after 2024 slope failure.
Jaguar Mining has completed remediation at its MTL Complex in Brazil and submitted safety documentation to the National Mining Agency on December 10, 2025, seeking approval to resume operations.
The site was suspended in December 2024 after a 600,000 m³ slump at the Satinoco dry-stacked pile.
Remediation included drainage systems, slope reconfiguration, and emergency infrastructure, with key areas now exceeding a 1.5 Factor of Safety.
While the Satinoco pile will not resume operations, adjacent mining and processing activities may restart pending ANM authorization.
The company says resuming operations is critical for safety, jobs, and the local economy.
