Central Queensland’s 8,300-hectare Spring Creek cattle property sold for $8 million at auction in Walkerston, meeting expectations.
Located 12 km from Coppabella and 60 km from Moranbah, the property included a herd of about 500 breeding cattle, 20 working bulls, 100 replacement heifers, and equipment like a New Holland tractor and D4 Caterpillar dozer.
It features sandy soils, native grasses, and 3,030 hectares classified as Category X under Queensland’s vegetation mapping.
The land has eight paddock sets connected by laneways, large steel cattle yards with working facilities, and multiple water sources including creeks, dams, and tanks.
Improvements include a 36x12m shed, storage shed, and air-conditioned cottage.
The auction, held at the Western Suburbs Leagues Club with around 35 attendees, opened at $5 million with two bidders participating.
