The 5th Assam Rifles Half Marathon 2025 took place on December 14, 2025, in Shillong, Meghalaya, drawing over 3,000 participants from 26 states and two union territories.
Held at the Directorate General Assam Rifles headquarters, the event featured three races—21 km, 10 km, and 5 km—under the Fit India Movement.
Winners received medals, certificates, T-shirts, and Rs 20 lakh in cash prizes.
Sandeep Devrari of the Indian Army won the men’s 21 km race in 1:07:00, while Tamsi Singh of Uttar Pradesh won the women’s race in 1:23:00.
Senior officials, including Lt Gen Vikas Lakhera and Air Marshal Surat Singh, attended, highlighting the event’s role in promoting fitness, unity, and regional development.
