A 45-year-old man in Taipei has been referred to prosecutors after allegedly confronting and filming DPP legislator Puma Shen and his daughter near the National Concert Hall on December 7.
Police say he shone a bright phone flashlight at them, recorded them without consent, and verbally confronted Shen.
Shen reported the incident, which was confirmed through surveillance and EasyCard data identifying the suspect as a Zhongzheng District resident.
The man claimed he approached Shen due to dissatisfaction with current affairs.
He now faces charges including coercion, defamation, and violating child protection laws.
The case is under review by the Taipei District Prosecutors Office.
